Blog – Thursday 4th March

A strange week to be honest. We’ve had a good number of enquiries this week on our stock but unfortunately for 2 people, the car they were interested in got sold  that morning whilst they were on their way. Without a deposit, its extremely hard to ‘hold’ a car, so my aoplogies to those who turned up only to be told the BMW touring estate had just been sold.

Well, we’ve been busy purchasing lately and you’ll see some new additions have been added to the site this week, plus they’ll be a few more added over the next day or so when they’ve been valeted. This batch of purchases have been the higher end of the market price cars as unfortunately family-sized mid priced cars are just so hard to find and if they are out there, they are very dear at the moment, so it’s a matter of waiting a few more weeks to see if the cessation of the ’scrappage scheme’ starts to assist the used car dealer and the older cars start to work their way through the chain rather than miss it and go straight to the new car dealerships.

For those fortunate enough, its new car plate this month and the release of the ‘10′ plate. I actually saw 2 new ‘10′ plate cars on the road yesterday as well. Have you seen one yet?

Blog – Monday 22nd February

Half term ends and I’m back at work and what lovely weather! So, it looks like it’ll be a few more days before we can get some videoing done, oh the great British weather. There are some new vehicles in stock both here and at White Waltham, most of these being listed in the last blog.

Unfortuantely, due to the extremely cold and wet  conditions lately, we haven’t been able to do any videos but we hope to start filming again soon, albeit its half term next week and i’ll be taking some time off, leaving John to hold the fort.

Blog – Thursday 4th February

Again, its been a busy week and enquiries are still coming in, especially for a new vehicle we have in stock, the Mitsubishi Colt diesel, so I don’t expect that one to be here for too long. I was hoping to video this car today along with the VW Polo but unfortunately its raining (again!) so unless it stops, this is unlikely.

Some new stock added today too, 3 commercial vehicles of which 2 are Renault Trafic diesel vans plus we have just taken in a Nissan Cabstar tipper truck. Photographs will follow soon but all three vehicles are available to view/test drive.

This week, I have added a new category drop down to the ’search by price’ box. The new category is ‘part exchance clearance’. Here, we’ll advertise cars that have come in p/x that we would normally trade. These cars/vans will all be sold on a ‘as is’ basis with no warranty given or implied. You will be offered the chance to test drive the vehicle and inspect it prior to purchasing and these cars will be sold around trade money.

Motors Promotional Girls Visit Shurlock Row Garage – Monday 1st February

Both John and myself had the privilege of meeting the promotional girls from motors.co.uk this afternoon. The girls are currently doing some promotional advertising for the company and some photographs will be in this weeks Maidenhead Advertiser. If I can get some photos, then I’ll add them to the blog later this week. A nice way to put a smile on ones face for a damn cold Monday afternoon. I came back from helping out at our other garage to a herd of young females coming towards me to give me lots of hugs as they’re doing ‘free hugs’ and were also out in the town centre too this morning doing this, so this most probably made a few single guys very happy today!

Its been an extremely busy week with plenty of vehicles sold. The VW transporter,Vectra, Hyundai, Chrysler, Audi A2 and one of the Vauxhall Zafira’s, so a big thank you to those customers who purchased from us.

We do have a lovely little Mitsubishi Colt 1.5 Diesel coming in later today. Its a 56 plate with just 21,000 miles in bright red. More details will follow on the site tomorrow. I’ll try and do some more videos of cars/vans that haven’t got them this week as well but with all the sold cars from last week I may have to give John a hand re-cleaning them.
